GovGuam Negotiates Better Health Care Plans For Employees & Retirees

Guam- Thanks to an aggressive team effort, the Government of Guam has finally decreased the burden of accessing quality health care for its employees and retirees. In fact, the Acting Governor says these new health care plans will save people from paying thousands of dollars to meet their deductibles. Calvo’s Selectcare has also added guardian life insurance to GovGuam plans, which means dental care for subscribers on Guam has expanded. Cruz also says plans to include two gym choices and other proposed premiums are still being worked on.

Air Force dental technician saves a few smiles in Vietnam during Pacific Angel 2010

Senior Airman Yinell Rosario, a dental technician from Yokota Air Base, Japan, talks about her experiences with Pacific Angel 2010, currently underway in Vietnam through May 15, 2010. Operation Pacific Angel is a joint and combined humanitarian assistance operation conducted in the Pacific area of responsibility to support US Pacific Command’s capacity-building efforts More than 50 US military are in Vietnam for the operation and have joined the Vietnamese military, non-governmental organizations and civil health and engineering personnel in medical and engineering efforts. The medical team will provide family practice, dental, optometry, pediatrics and women’s health care to Can Tho area residents. Engineering efforts will include plumbing, electrical and structural work on two area medical clinics. Operation Pacific Angel is a Pacific Air Forces program led by 13th Air Force here
